Data protection declaration

We take data protection and our obligation to protect your data seriously. We should therefore like to inform you about our data protection principles and the use of your personal data, which you are sending us with your application via our online application system.

Scope of this data protection declaration

When you send in your application documents, you are also sending us a series of personal data, which are under the particular protection of German law (Federal Data Protection Law). We follow these strict legal requirements.

Purpose of investigation and processing, no passing on of data to third parties

The data you send us (e.g. curriculum vitae, references, certificates, photo, job applied for etc.), are investigated, stored and processed by employees of Uniplan and its subsidiaries solely in order to test and assess your application. Our employees are under an obligation of discretion, and pledged to adhere to data secrecy under § 5 of the German Federal Data Protection Law (BDSG). We will not pass on your data to third parties outside the company.

In the process of examining your application, we may, if appropriate, telephone, write or contact you by e-mail, if there are any questions and you have given us your contact details for this purpose.

Duration of data storage

In the first instance, your data are only processed and stored while the application is being assessed, and are then deleted on conclusion of the assessment, insofar as they are no longer required. The latter may be the case, for example, if on the basis of your application profile we come to the conclusion that the application might be of interest at a later date or for other areas of the company also; in that case, we store your data for an initial period of 12 months, so that we can contact you once again at a later date. Quite apart from that, we store identification and communication data (e.g. name, address, telephone number) and internal processing entries for a duration of two years.

Right of information about, and deletion of, the application data

If you wish, we will inform you which of your data we are storing. If you do not desire us to store data any longer, you may inform us of this even before the expiry of the abovementioned storage and deletion periods; we will then delete your data without delay.

By confirming this data protection declaration and placing a tick in the box “Yes, I have read this data protection declaration, and I accept it”, you declare your agreement with these data protection notes. At the same time, you assure us that the information you have given is up-to-date and truthful.
