User Generated PlaySpace. This is the seventh time that Uniplan has been responsible for the brand promotion of Sony PlayStation. This time at gamescom in Cologne. Our mission: Be there – and be part of the PS YOUNIVERSUM at www.playstation.com or live on the spot.
On an area of 2,000 sqm, exciting game-worlds, unique performances and prominent guests await visitors. Four different theme-worlds are situated round the central square, the Bowl, the scenery is based on PlayStation HOME. The link between the real and the virtual world is the central theme. “User generated content” appears on the fair-stand in a variety of forms. Sometimes as digital billboard, sometimes as street art visitors’ book or as avatar statements. Before gamescom, kids supervised by the street artist Helge “Bomber” Steinmann and comedy star Hella von Sinnen also spray and paint equipment for the playground which will be set up for gamescom. “Design together, play together” is the idea behind this. Through “user generated content”, people thus design their own games world.
