Your role
- Responsible for direct and indirect procurement of products and services to support company’s business
- Ensure that the products or services are of high quality and cost effective aligned with the procurement policies and guidelines in the approval of each purchase including RFQ, PO issue, invoice tracking, filing and log in record in internal system
- Build and maintain good relationships with key vendors and various stakeholders and explore great opportunities to obtain the best deals from them and ensure products and services are in high quality and delivered on time
- Compare and evaluate offers from vendors and review annual contract with vendors and negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
- Update vendors/suppliers’ data on regularly base and maintain the up-to-dated list for record and analysis
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, delivery information, benchmarking prices in internal databases
- Prepare reports on purchases including cost analyses
- Conduct research on potential new vendors or sub-contractors from local and overseas market
- Factory visit on new potential vendors within or outside Hong Kong
- Onsite visit before and after client events to ensure quality of vendor service is up to standard
Your talent
- Diploma or degree in related discipline
- Hold relevant certification such as MCIPS or CPSM will be a bonus
- Minimum 3-5 years’ solid sourcing experience particularly in areas of Carpentry, Carpeting, AV, Electronics, Graphics and Cross media
- Working knowledge in Events and Exhibition industry is preferred but not a must
- Proven knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
- Attention to details with strong commercial awareness and compliance with deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Effective verbal and written English and Chinese communication skills, ability to speak Mandarin is a bonus
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Procurement Manager
