Introduction
Designing Moments That Matter, Everywhere
At Uniplan, we don’t just build spaces — we craft systematic brand experiences.
For Franke, a leading global supplier of products and services for domestic kitchens, foodservice systems and the convenience store sector as well as for professional coffee making, we developed a scalable spatial identity that translates brand DNA into distinctive, signature design solutions across continents, cultures, and customer touchpoints.
Our mission: to transform Franke’s strategic ambition into tangible, recognizable experiences worldwide.
The Challenge
Embedding Brand DNA into Systematic Design
The challenge was to move beyond isolated spatial executions.
Franke needed a holistic design strategy that would consistently express the brand’s core values and DNA across all business units, markets, and cultural contexts.
The solution had to be systematic, scalable, and flexible: a spatial identity toolkit, signature furniture, and modular design elements that would deliver coherence while allowing local adaptability.
What We Did
Creating Signature Brand Experiences
Our partnership with Franke began in 2021 with the development of a flagship showroom at the headquarters of Franke Coffee Systems in Aarburg, Switzerland.
Although the new global design system had not yet been implemented at that time, the project marked the starting point for a long-term collaboration and became an important milestone on the path to a globally consistent brand identity.
In the following phase, we developed a spatial identity system that embodies Franke’s core design principles: clarity, precision, hospitality, and innovation. Central to this approach are signature brand elements — such as the Franke Brand Wall — that ensure instant recognition across all environments.
Through strategic design thinking, curated furniture collections, and spatial storytelling, we elevated Franke’s presence from a series of spaces to a globally aligned brand experience.
