Introduction

Renewal Unleashed

At this year’s 29th International Kitchen & Bath China (KBC), Kohler, guided by the theme "Renewal Unleashed," partnered with Uniplan to create an immersive exhibition booth.

Where clean geometric lines meet tactile materials, and smart technology blends naturally with thoughtful design, a new perspective on modern kitchen and bath spaces is taking shape.

The Challenge

Redefining the Narrative of High-End Kitchen & Bath

In the KBC and the broader market, the goal was to build differentiated brand value, break through the clutter with immersive and deeper on-site interactions, and help Kohler stand out.

The execution challenge lay in perfecting every product presentation detail, including ensuring stable water flow and other on-site elements.

What We Did

Using Design to Make Brand Storytelling Tangible

As the lead agency, Uniplan oversaw the booth’s design, construction, and operation, allowing Kohler’s brand DNA to evolve into a cohesive aesthetic landscape.

This approach extended Kohler’s design philosophy from products to space, creating artistic scenarios such as natural healing, pure minimalism, and future intelligence.

Moving beyond simple product displays, Uniplan designed the space around four themes: "Comfort for Body and Mind", "Joyful Living", "Purity and Beauty", and "Intelligence for You". Each area balances function and aesthetics, showing how clean, simple shapes can still offer rich, inspiring details.

How We Delivered

Spatial Storytelling:
Crafting Brand Philosophy Through Material Texture

Uniplan materialized the design concept into four independent yet transparent cubic spaces.

Light and shadow gradients, shifting from warm daylight to cool, technical tones, set the scene for a journey from natural healing to future intelligence.

The main structure pairs concrete with matte metal, reflecting Kohler’s approach of blending artistic expression with industrial design, while the central area features a "Timeline Corridor" showcasing Kohler’s 30-year milestones in China.

Uniplan combined a vintage newsstand with AI technology so that scanning old posters would launch brand history videos, turning 150 years of stories into interactive experiences. In the experience zone, a custom fragrance workshop invited visitors to blend scents inspired by Kohler’s three sub-brands, creating memorable takeaways that extended the impact beyond the space itself.
