Introduction
Celebrating Saudi’s FIFA 2034 Announcement at Boulevard Riyadh
To mark Saudi Arabia’s official announcement as the host of FIFA World Cup 2034, Uniplan MENA delivered an immersive, on-ground experience for King Salman Park at Boulevard Riyadh. Combining a striking visual installation with an interactive digital activation, the project brought together celebration, national pride, and design-led storytelling, all in the heart of Riyadh.
The Challenge
Introducing a Park Through a Moment of National Celebration
This activation was tasked to celebrate a historic announcement and it also needed to bring the identity of King Salman Park to life in a public setting, while engaging a diverse audience in an interactive way. The challenge was to translate the park’s mission of inclusivity, community, and nature into a dynamic FIFA-focused fan experience that felt relevant to both locals and global visitors.
What We Did
A Visual Journey of Unity, Designed for Interaction
The creative concept revolved around the King Salman Park logo, deconstructed into layered, freestanding forms. These vibrant, color-coded panels symbolized the diversity of people who will come together in 2034. From one key perspective, the logo reassembled, reflecting unity and shared celebration.
The space featured tactile informative panels introducing KSP and the FIFA milestone, celebratory silhouettes of fans, and a central screen that hosted the Superfan activation: a digital experience allowing visitors to see themselves transformed into Saudi superfans with flags, face paint, accessories, and more.
