Introduction

Efficiency Sparks Connection

For their booth at the bauma trade fair in Munich this year, our customer Volvo CE wanted to put the focus on exclusively electric machines, digital solutions, efficiency & automation.

Their goal was to position themselves as a thought leader in the field of electric construction equipment while placing the human factor at the heart of everything, providing an unforgettable experience to the visitors.

The Challenge

Electric Focus, Practical Solutions

The key challenge was to showcase only electric machines and digital services, while simultaneously presenting Volvo CE as a holistic solution provider that combines product innovation with connected, future-oriented systems.

An additional logistical challenge was placing the heavy machinery and vehicles on the carpeted floor of the booth. We solved this by strategically installing floor tiles underneath the machines for transport.

What We Did

Where Machinery Meets Minimalism

We took inspiration from the dynamic energy of a construction site to shape the architectural concept of the booth, creating an environment that would authentically showcase Volvo CE’s electric machine fleet and the central Solutions Bar.

Paired with clean Scandinavian design elements, the space was to reflect the brand’s core values and to position Volvo CE as a holistic provider of both advanced machinery and smart, connected services.

How We Delivered

Making the Vision Tangible

The booth design followed a multi-level experience concept, guiding visitors through a carefully staged customer journey.

Right at the entrance, the 100% electric machines immediately captured attention and drew visitors into the space, setting the tone for Volvo CE’s innovative spirit. As visitors moved further into the booth, the architectural design and overarching narrative were shaped by the brand’s core values, with themes such as Building Tomorrow, Building The World We Want To Live In, and Electromobility made tangible throughout the environment.

At the heart of the stand, the Solutions Bar became the driving force of the journey, offering visitors the chance to explore Volvo CE’s connected services and solutions in depth. The experience concluded in the dedicated hospitality area, a space for networking and continuing conversations in a relaxed setting, bringing the holistic customer journey to a close.

Outside the booth, visitors could also take part in interactive challenges that demonstrated machine precision and control – including a fun competition where participants used an excavator to drop tennis balls into narrow tubes. This added a playful and memorable element to the overall experience.
