Bringing the city of lights to Macao
In a world overstuffed with creative ideas, even the strongest theme that connects a brand to people’s imagination is not enough to give it lasting memorability. For an enduring impression, the theme must be thought through and perfectly executed. Luxury landmark hotel The Parisian Macao describes itself as ‘full of light and love’, so for its grand opening, we made magic happen by bringing Paris – city of love, City of Light – to Macao.
A romance enhanced
We took the dominant association of Parisian life – romance – and intensified this theme by inviting 1,300 VIP guests to become part of Paris.
By interspersing a film we made featuring two young lovers with the real-life ‘characters’ interacting with it, guests became emotionally engaged as this love story unfolded throughout the evening. The romanticism of the atmosphere was enhanced by roaming entertainment, a hot-air balloon and a firework display to rival Versailles. This heightened vision of Paris lifted the event above countless rival hotel openings.
