Ten German championships at a single weekend: With the Finals – Berlin 2019 the German capital invited sports enthusiasts for an event of superlatives.
The emotional happening attracted many sports fans and spectators in front of the screens as well as on the scene itself. With live broadcasts of the competitions and its presence close to the Olympic stadium, the ZDF catered for the entertainment of the audience during the sporty extravaganza. The goal: bringing the ZDF brand to life and presenting the new product of virtual reality content.

We created an interactive stand for the TV broadcaster where visitors could experience the ZDF brand and test its VR formats themselves.
On the one hand, it was necessary to live up to the peculiarities of the event with robust materials and highest quality since nearly 180.000 visitors arrived at the outdoor event. The stand reflected the relaxed atmosphere and fit perfectly in the overall picture. On the other hand, the VR contents of the public TV network were supposed to take centre stage. With a customised, temporary construction, we created a modern and exciting brand experience. Within sight of the Olympic stadium and the bicycle race track, the visitors could take on virtual sports challenges. This made for enthusiasm and a large crowd even after the official opening hours.
