Introduction

Fast-forward through ten cities

When the OnePlus Ace 2 was released this year, it quickly gained popularity among consumers seeking a mobile phone with an exceptional gaming experience.

To create a buzz and engage with gaming fans, OnePlus partnered with Genshin Experience Lab to hold a 10-cities pop-up event, including Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan,Hangzhou, Zhengzhou,Xian and Shenyang, which was flawlessly executed by Uniplan.

In the highly competitive Chinese market, consumer demands for mobile phone brands are increasingly diverse and personalized.

OnePlus, as an independent sub-brand of OPPO, leverages OPPO's industry-leading resources in technology, products, supply chain, quality control, after-sales service, and sales channels to create ultimate products for consumers, adhering to the concept of "no compromise." This time, OnePlus and the popular game IP Genshin held a theme Pop-up event, aiming to attract a large number of game fans to come and make purchases. Uniplan faced the challenge of planning and executing the event within a short timeframe to create an unforgettable experience for the brand.

What We Did

Creating a 1+1 > 2 Effect

As one of the most popular games in China, the deep collaboration between OnePlus Ace 2 and Genshin game IP generated immense excitement among gaming fans. While joint activities between mobile phone brands and game IPs are common, Uniplan's solution stood out by presenting deeply customized and limited gift boxes, which successfully captured the attention of Genshin fans. The event witnessed a bustling scene with numerous co-branded elements, creating a 1+1 > 2 effect, where the combined impact of OnePlus and Genshin was greater than the sum of their individual impacts.

How We Delivered

Experience First

Uniplan's meticulous planning and execution were evident in the event design, where white and OnePlus' signature red were used as the main colours, complemented by simple cube elements that highlighted OnePlus' minimalist style and technological concept.

The event featured a variety of game-themed customized surroundings and fancy cosplayers, seamlessly blending OnePlus' brand sense with the Genshin IP. NPCs in different costumes interacted freely with game players, creating a game kingdom in the real world and delivering a brand-new sensory experience.

Project: OnePlus Ace 2 Pop-up - Genshin Experience Lab

Mission: Planning and Executing a 10-city Pop-up Event in a Short Time Uniplan successfully delivered the ambitious goal of planning and executing the OnePlus-Genshin Pop-up event in ten cities simultaneously. The event was held in two flagship stores and eight stores across the country, attracting over 1000 people per flagship store and 300+ people per store.

Solution: Uniplan created this popular Pop-up event for OnePlus, and attracted a large number of Genshin fans through the numerous co-branded elements on the scene. At the OnePlus - Genshin Pop-up, special purchasing gifts were handed out to consumers. Not only could participants buy the product in advance, they could also get customized gifts.

Results: Excitement, Sales and a Resonating Brand Presence

Enhancing consumer awareness and sales thanks to Uniplan's excellent product design and event concept, the OnePlus Ace 2 × Genshin Pop-up was a resounding success. The event generated excitement and consumer awareness across all ten locations, boosting sales of the OnePlus Ace 2 and reinforcing the brand's position in the competitive mobile phone market in China.
