Introduction

A Fresh Take on Colour and Space

For IFA Berlin 2025, HAMA returned with the vision to transform its visual identity into a fully immersive spatial experience.

Uniplan partnered with the brand to bring this idea to life through a concept built on movement, colour, and openness. Inspired by the brand’s signature CI colours, the booth blurred the line between design and product presentation to offer a fresh, inviting take on trade fair architecture.

The Challenge

Reimagining the Familiar

The new booth should reflect HAMA’s vibrant brand character and allow visitors to discover the full product world in a way that felt organic, open, and engaging.

The key challenges included seamlessly integrating multiple zones – from highlights to product areas to hospitality – in one cohesive spatial system and creating a strong visual impact while enabling functional product presentation and hands-on interaction.

What We Did

A Distinct Brand World

We translated HAMA’s CI colours into an open, inviting structure.

A sequence of fabric banners in distinct HAMA brand colours served as the outer boundary of the booth and defined its overall architecture.

The design plays with visibility: from afar, the layers act like a soft curtain, subtly concealing what lies within. But as visitors move closer, the spaces between the banners reveal the interior and invite exploration.

How We Delivered

From Idea to Experience

By removing the conventional closed façade and replacing it with a layered, transparent design approach, the booth became an architectural extension of the brand: open, modern, and approachable.

In addition to this distinctive spatial identity, the booth was also carefully structured into six interconnected areas, arranged for optimal visitor flow and discovery:

・ Welcome & Highlight Zones: Centrally placed to offer a strong first impression and immediate brand recognition.

・ Product Presentation Area: On one side of the stand, products were thoughtfully displayed for intuitive navigation, ranging from mobile phones to smart home appliances.

・ Sound Experience Booth: Attached to the product area, this custom-built acoustic space offered visitors the opportunity to experience HAMA’s sound products hands-on in a noise-isolated environment.

・ Hospitality Area & Partner Wall: On the opposite side, a relaxed seating and meeting zone provided space for networking and conversation, backed by a dedicated partner showcase.

The result was a spatial experience that translated brand identity into physical form – visually engaging, intuitively structured, and designed to spark curiosity from every angle.

What They Said

With our presence at IFA 2025, we wanted to do more than just showcase products — we aimed to convey a feeling. Openness, color, and movement not only reflect our brand, but also invite visitors to experience Hama in a whole new way.
